TECHAGRO

TECHAGRO, největší zemědělský veletrh ve střední Evropě. Proč přijít?

The next edition of the TECHAGRO International Fair of Agricultural Technology will be held at the Brno Exhibition Centre (Czech Republic) from 8 to 12 April 2018. At the same time, the SILVA REGINA International Forestry and Hunting Fair and BIOMASS Trade Fair for Renewable Sources of Energy in Agriculture and Forestry will be held concurrently. TECHAGRO is one of Europe's largest agricultural fairs; the Brno Exhibition Centre has been sold out this year as well. The 2018 season dedicates more space to plant growing, while animal breeding is focused on by the ANIMAL TECH fair, which takes place at the Brno Exhibition Centre in odd years.

Once again in 2018, TECHAGRO has reaffirmed its position as one of the most important European trade fairs events in the agricultural sector. This year, too, around eight hundred exhibitors will arrive to the Brno Exhibition Centre and the organizers expect more than one hundred thousand visitors to come in. In the sector of agricultural machinery, practically all brands operating in Europe are represented. Due to great demand from exhibitors, an additional modular hall has been built next to Hall P. take a look at the list of all exhibitors and co-exhibitors.

Tractors, harvesters and cutters

Tractors are very strongly showcased at the trade fair, for example the Czech manufacturer Zetor will introduce its multipurpose machines. The Kubota brand comes with machines for broad use not only in agriculture, but also for the maintenance of public areas in municipalities. The company's range of products features tractor mowers of several power series, universal tractors and multipurpose vehicles. Displays of other exhibitors will be show tractors of brands such as Valtra, John Deere, New Holland, Case, Massey Fergusson, Fendt, Ferrari and others.

All seasons of the TECHAGRO have featured a very well represented sector of harvesters and cutters. The company Agrotec will bring New Holland and Case harvesting machines to the Exhibition Centre; for example, the New Holland cutters boast the largest cutting drum on the market. The Sampo small harvesters for small areas of land will be presented by the company P&L Biskupice at its display; additional brands in the field of harvesters and cutters will be John Deere, Claas, Krone, Gomselmash and Fendt.

Other important areas of the TECHAGRO trade fair are sprinklers, which will be presented to visitors both as self-propelled and trailer machines – such as Agrio, Mazzoti, Tecnoma, Hardi, Amazone and Berthoud.

Post-harvest technologies, precision farming

In 2018, post-harvest technologies are concentrated in Hall A1; for example, grain storage and preservation technology from the Siagra, Intabo, Agroing, JK Machinery, Farmix, Pawlica, Bühler and Interagro brands. The trend of our time is precision farming, with companies such as Leadingfarmers, Fons, Kleffmann, Agriprecision and Ag Info being featured in this sector.

Grand Prix with a new category

The TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA and BIOMASS trade fairs will once again feature the traditional GRAND PRIX competition, in which an expert jury will award the best of the exhibits entered. The SOIL WATER RETENTION FRIENDLY award will newly be given, which will be received by exhibits improving the retention capacity of soil. The Brno agricultural and forestry fairs use this innovation to highlight everything that may contribute to sustainable economy.

Sideline programme, programme for schools

The sideline program and the stands can be expected to present trends that are influencing current agriculture, demonstration of the use of drones, GPS or mobile devices, technologies for water retention in the soil, and of course, precision farming. The TECHAGRO 2018 fair will feature a large beekeeping exhibition on the gallery of Hall C associated with the sale of beekeepers’ supplies and bee products. On Tuesday 10 April, a conference entitled "The Future of Czech Agriculture" will be held in the Rotunda, focusing among others on farming in the time of climate change. "Agriculture Lives!" is a programme meant for schools, promoted by the Agricultural Union of the Czech Republic.
